WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

We require all interested students to connect with us directly to review the necessary documents and standards. Students must be in good academic and conduct standing with their institution and have a 2.5 GPA or higher to apply. Expect to submit a copy of a college transcript and proof of good standing in the form of a letter from an advisor or coach. 

IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?

There are financial aid opportunities available for students! Please contact a Sports Health Institute team member directly to review the details and procedures.

WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?

Registration deadlines are location specfic. Please check the location page for more details.

ARE FLIGHTS INCLUDED?

Flights are not included in the program price. Students are expected to arrive and depart during specific windows of time that vary based on location.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Accommodation fees can be refunded up to one month prior to the start of the program. Tuition fees can be refunded up to one week prior to the start of the program. 

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CREDITS TRANSFER?

SHI has an active partnership with Hellenic American University.  Hellenic American University is a non-profit institution accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). All courses taught during the study abroad programs are accredited by HAU, which allows an easy transfer to any U.S. university or college. Upon the completion of the program, an official transcript will be sent to your Home Institution. Please contact your Home Institution's Registrar to confirm the transfer before departure.

WHO IS THE POINT OF CONTACT WHILE ABROAD?

Students will have two main resources --- the host institution's study abroad coordinator and their SHI instructor. Both individuals are available to help student-athletes during their time abroad.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO SWITCH LOCATIONS BEFORE DEPARTURE?

Students can switch locations up to one month before the start of the program.

WILL MY DIAGNOSED LEARNING, OR OTHER DISABILITY BE ACCOMMODATED ABROAD?

SHI will make every effort to accommodate disabilities and might require documentation in advance of the Learning Disability and the recommended accommodations.

WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED COST TO STUDY ABROAD?

In addition to the listed costs, students are responsible for their own airfare to the designated destination, and some funds for additional personal expenses--shopping, dining out, incidental personal travel--that they might incur.
